This year I invested in some serious winter boots. The old ones were still comfortable, but most of my footwear fits best just before falling apart. They couldn't support me standing still for hours on ice or frozen concrete, even when new.
So below are my new kicks, with the old to compare. Same boot size.
Come on, Winter, don't disappoint me!

Super Moon/Blood Moon fails to show...
I had set up my gear for an evening of painting the rare lunar event, but cloud cover spoiled the view.
Still, an evening out painting is an evening out painting.

Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition
The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition has been an annual art fair since 1961, when Toronto entrepreneurs Murray and Marvelle Koffler launched the first TOAE in a hotel garden.
The City has hosted the exhibition at Nathan Phillips Square since 1967.
It's an exciting show with great variety of work, something of interest to all.
I'm pleased to be marking my seventh year 'on the square'. I'll be at booth H13, if anyone should be in the area.
During the recent hot days, painting at night seemed a good option. And it's always a challenge.
Here are a few samples:
